We are asking for your support in bringing relief to Nepal.
EARTHQUAKE 7.9 MAGNITUDE
Daya Pradhan - Executive Director
Abhu Pradhan - Operations Director
Missions Himalaya (FECAI)
“Days are passing by and the hope of the people under the debris in Nepal is also dying slowly. Now there is a danger of epidemic and cholera.”
“All our supervisors from Sikkim and North Bengal are called to go for the relief work in Dhading district of Nepal. Tonight we have meeting with the team. Tomorrow early morning they leave for Nepal.”
Cindy Perry - DAI Regional Director
“Daya’s team (Abhu and 5 handpicked men) will need covering in prayer, as the areas they are going into are new to them, there are reported people on the road trying to extort from vehicles with relief, and those desperate just trying to commandeer for their own needs, landslides hampering travel and many of the trekking trails into the villages also swept away — and raining in the mountains which makes it so difficult.”
“Relief is the immediate need, but there is a long road ahead in terms of rebuilding.

“Most of the relief and humanitarian work is presently carried out in the major urban centres where the devastation is massive. Many remote villages were also greatly affected but because access is very difficult, help is very slow in coming and not so forthcoming. We are looking to our people who are also living in rough terrain to be mobilised to reach out to some of these remote places to bring them humanitarian aid. We are looking at provisions of tents for shelter, medical supplies, basic immediate provisions of essential food, clothing, simple household effects, blankets and clean water to survive under the harsh conditions. We will also be travelling there to assist as part of the relief team in good time.”
